Zuzana holds a law degree from the Charles University in Prague (2012, PhD 2018) and two postgraduate degrees from the University of Oxford (MJur 2015, MPhil 2018). She works as an assistant professor in constitutional law and human rights at the Masaryk University in Brno. She has previously studied and taught at law faculties in Leuven, Oxford, and Prague. She has also gained practical experience in EU institutions in Brussels and Luxembourg, in private practice, as well as at the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic.

Zuzana’s teaching and research interests lie at the intersection of constitutional law and European Union law. Her PhD thesis focused on the political aspects of the Court of Justice of the EU and the European Court of Human Rights. At the moment, she explores the notions of national identity and constitutional identity, in the context of the rule of law crisis.
